2,500 Easter eggs are dropped onto Montgomery’s Riverfront during the Easter Eggstravaganza

It's one of the year's biggest Easter events throughout Central Alabama!

The third annual Riverfront Easter Eggstravaganza is taking place in downtown Montgomery on Saturday, April 13. It’s one of the year’s preeminent celebrations of the holiday, and you’re all invited! The event has a number of fun, different features attached to it, so read on to learn more. More than 2,500 Easter eggs are planted throughout the Riverfront during the event.

So, what can you expect from the Easter Eggstravaganza? Well, sit back – we’ve got the list!

  • More than 2,500 Easter eggs will be hidden throughout the Montgomery Riverfront for kids to find and crack open
  • Brand new this year, a temporary petting zoo will make its debut during the event
  • You and the kids can enjoy face painting next to the Alabama River
  • There will also be balloon animal artists to complement the face painting fun
  • The Easter Bunny will be present to take pictures with children
  • The Montgomery Police Department will be there to keep watch and perform a K-9 demo for the crowds
  • There will be food vendors abound, serving up Central Alabama’s best
  • A DJ will be present making sure we’re all hip to the latest radio hits

But what might be the coolest part about the event is that getting in is completely free! All you’ve got to do is show up. While you’ll have to pay for food or souvenirs, that’s a small price to pay for fun in one of Montgomery’s hottest spots.

Face painting is one of the many activities that will be available during the Easter Eggstravaganza.
