ALDI coming to Wetumpka? It looks like it!

So, we told you late last year that ALDI – one of the fastest-growing shopping chains – was coming to Prattville and Montgomery. While the Prattville location is already open and the Montgomery one is a work-in-progress, we’ve got another piece of news for you.

Apparently, the chain is coming to Wetumpka, too.

Yes, you heard that right: small-town Wetumpka, just 20 minutes outside of Montgomery, is getting its very own ALDI.

It’s still very, very early in on the project. On Monday, the Wetumpka City Council voted unanimously to authorize Mayor Jerry Willis “to execute project development agreements with ALDI.”

This, according to the city’s economic development director, Lynn Weldon.

What to buy at Aldi, as Told by People on the Internet

Here’s an article we wrote when the ALDI in Prattville first opened.

Given ALDI’s development and success in the nearby areas, we can only assume this means one thing: that an ALDI supermarket will be making its way to Wetumpka. We’ve reached out to ALDI for more information, but things are still pretty quiet right now. As for when or how soon we’ll see the store in Wetumpka… well, we’ve got no idea yet.

But you can always stick around and we’ll let you know when we do. Check out the below information to learn how!
