What's going on everybody? We are well into June and the weekend is upon us. If you didn't already know, then get this - your Central Alabama Weekend Update is here! Let's take a look at some of the events coming up over the next few days.

29th Annual Alexander City Jazz Fest

We kick things off out in Alexander City, where their 29th annual Jazz Fest will be taking place. On both Friday and Saturday, you can head down to The AMP on Lake Martin for an awesome line-up of musicians. Each night will feature three different acts, and of course, there’ll be food and fun for everyone in attendance!

2nd Annual Ice Cream Social

Blue Ribbon Dairy in Tallassee is hosting their second annual Ice Cream Social from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 on Saturday. You can show up for free to enjoy some tasty, homemade ice cream and hang out with your friends. Plus, you can visit with the awesome cows who made the ice cream! How do you beat that?

Father's Day at The Montgomery Zoo

The zoo is one of our favorite institutions here on Central Alabama Weekend, and on Sunday, we’ll be taking Dad. Your old man gets in for free all day long, so show up anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 that evening for a good times and cute animals. You can check out the baby Red River hogs they’ve got on display!

Father's Day at the Montgomery Biscuits

Continuing the trend of Father’s Day fun and we’re looking to the Montgomery Biscuits, who are offering some pretty cool promotions and attractions on Sunday. The old ball game begins at 5:05 p.m.  – and what better way to jump start your week? Plus, it’s also Bark in the Park, so you get to pet some good boy doggos.
