Hey, everyone! It's that time of the week again - your Central Alabama Weekend Update is here! We're bringing you the best events coming up over the next few days, so let's take a look at what's happening.
National Donut Day
Friday is National Doughnut Day, and with it comes a host of sugary celebration. But why not take some of that good cheer and head down to Dunkin’ Donuts on Vaughn Road? Law enforcement will be there collecting donations and selling t-shirts in support of Special Olympics Alabama.
Summer Fund and Food Drive
Of course we have to mention another awesome event that’s happening on Friday: WSFA’s Summer Fund and Food Drive. It’s kicking off bright and early at 5:00 and will last until 7:00 that evening. So come on out to Renfroe’s with a donation of canned goods or cash. We might even see you out there!
Lower Dexter Cruise-in
Once you’re done eating donuts and supporting the food drive, you’ll have the awesome opportunity to Lower Dexter Cruise-in is taking control of downtown Montgomery on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. That constitutes two hours of fun for you and yours… and Tarlesha: it’s completely free!
Moving away from all those awesome Friday events and we’re looking at the Riverfront, who’s hosting the aptly named June Riverfest on Saturday. This one kicks off at 4:00 p.m. and will last until 8:00 that night. Live music, drinks, food, vendors, and more… at an entry price of just $10.00, what do you have to lose?
