Ice cream is perhaps one of the most tasty, delicious, and downright decadent concoctions we as humans have devised. It’s cold, soft, and absolutely tasty. And it comes in all sorts of different flavors, so you’ll never get bored! If, however, you’re getting bored with traditional ice cream… there’s a new take that combines it with another beautiful result of mankind: cookie dough.
That’s right: cookie dough and ice cream… together.
Ben & Jerry’s just pushed their most recent development to store shelves, rolling out three flavors of what they are calling “cookie dough chunks.”
If that doesn’t get your taste buds going, then let me reiterate: COOKIE. DOUGH. CHUNKS.
The three mouthwatering flavors are as follows:
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough – because how could they not
- Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough – peanut butter generally makes everything better
- Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough – keeping the options varied for the more diet-conscious
These cookie dough chunks will be available at retailers across the United States starting in April.
If you’re wondering, “Are these safe to eat?” Well, the dough is exactly the same as the dough found in Ben & Jerry’s famous ice cream flavors. So, if you’ve had those before, then you should be good to go. The dough contains pasteurized eggs and heat-treated flour; we’re not sure what the replacement for eggs are in the vegan recipe.
