Foosackly’s has been serving their chicken fingers, fries, slaw, toast, sweet tea and lemonade with their famous house made sauces in and around Mobile since 2000.

The Foosackly’s official website lays out the simple mission of the chicken finger chain.

“The vision is simple: provide the best chicken and house made sauces in the world, deliver the quickest, friendliest, most accurate and attentive service, provide a positive, clean and organized work environment, and to do it all at an outstanding value.”

For years, fans have been begging the chain to expand their market into other parts of Alabama.

When the Auburn location opens in the fall, it will be the first Foosackly’s north of the Mobile area. They currently have 12 locations, 10 in coastal Alabama and two in north west Florida.

Will Fusaiotti, Foosackly’s owner and co-founder, told The Plainsman that the location is close to campus, but not too close that it would only attract students.

Fusaiotti also said that they are hoping to get a building permit in the next 30 to 45 days and are expecting a contruction time of 75 to 90 days. The goal is for the location to open around September.

The new restaurant should make Auburn students and residents from the Gulf Coast feel right at home. The Facebook announcement is already exciting southern Alabama natives.

One woman commented on the post saying she is from Mobile, now lives in Montgomery, and will be driving over to Auburn once a week to eat at Foosackly’s. Others in the comments are asking for more Alabama locations in Montgomery, Birmingham, Tuscaloosa and Huntsville.
