Frios is selling red velvet, king cake pops ahead of Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras

Frios is an Alabama original, and one of our favorite, go-to spots for a cold treat. They’ve got a ton of different, tasty flavors, but get ready for Frios’ latest line of goodness. It comes in the form of two new offerings: Mardi Gras king cake pops and red velvet Valentine’s Day pops.

The king cake pops actually contain the confectionery for which they’re named, and are covered with an outer layer that’s absolutely heaven. If you’re looking for a good way to celebrate Mardi Gras, or just want a new spin on your usual King Cake recipe, then stop by one of Frios’ many Alabama locations.

The other option is Frios’ special red velvet Valentine’s Day pops. They – like the king cake pops – are also made with real cake. Considering Frios has always made it a point to keep their ingredients natural, we’re not surprised to see this unique spin on Red Velvet. You can surprise your Valentine’s Day date with a classic stop by the ice cream shop!

Results may vary.

But maybe you’re in the neighborhood for a flavor that’s not king cake or red velvet! That’s totally fine – Frios has got a ton of other flavors, although each store may have a different smattering of choices.

While you’ll find traditional ice cream flavors like chocolate, peach, banana split, and others, here are a few that might surprise you:

  • Pumpkin spice latte
  • Eggnog
  • Banana moon pie
  • Blackberry ginger lemonade
  • Sweet tea with lemon
  • Mulled cider

So, maybe the pumpkin spice latte option is a bit basic, but as an ice cream? I think it gets a pass.
