Today's episode of Central Alabama Weekend is a special one: here's what's happening for July 4!
Guys, July Fourth is just around the corner and we have a really special Central Alabama Weekend Update planned for you today. We're here in beautiful Prattville, Alabama and we've got some fantastic events lined up. So, Tarlesha, since we're here, why don't we start with what's happening right here in the Preferred Community?
Fourth of July in Prattville
Prattville has got an awesome celebration planned that’ll include a 4th of July Parade, a cardboard boat race, and a massive fireworks display. There’ll even be a concert with accompanying inflatable slides and bounce houses on-site for you to enjoy. And the best part about all of it? You don’t have to pay a dime to get in and enjoy the fun… although, you’ll have to pay for the food.
Full Moon BBQ
Speaking of food, Full Moon BBQ Eastchase is having a big party of their own. You can swing by anytime through July 4th and order up a load of hickory smoked BBQ or some of their famous, slow-cooked ribs. If you need catering, they’ve got your back for up to 10,000 people! Plus, they’ve got cookies of all kinds, and how do you go wrong with that?
Blount Cultural Park Independence Day Celebration
Let’s pull it back to Montgomery to take a look at what’s happening around the Capital of Dreams. You don’t want to miss the Independence Day Celebration down at Blount Cultural Park. There’ll be live music, fireworks, kids activities, food vendors, and a beer garden! Show up at 6:00 p.m. as the gates open or arrive later at 9:00 p.m. for the fireworks – either way, you win!
Auburn Independence Day Festival
And of course, we’ve got to take a second to discuss what’s happening out in Auburn. Come out and celebrate Independence Day at Duck Samford Park for a huge night of entertainment. Music, inflatables, video games, fireworks and more – it’s all waiting for you on July 4 at 5:00 p.m. The festivities will continue until the 9:00 p.m. fireworks show ends!
Independence Day 1776 at American Village
And pulling up the rear on our list is the Independence Day 1776 celebration at The American Village in Montevallo. Experience the “grand illumination” of fireworks at ‘twilight’s last gleaming.” There’ll also be food, music, fun, and education. Admission for the day and all of its events is just $5.00, so be sure to show up when they open at 11:00 a.m!
Whew, that was a big list - but at least I've got BBQ! If you want more, join us on social media - we've got Facebook and Instagram, so take your pick! And hey - we just wanted to wish you an awesome July Fourth. But until next week, this has been your Central Alabama Weekend Update!
