Juneteenth, The Temptations, and more – Central Alabama Weekend Update (6/21/19)

Juneteenth is being celebrated this weekend, as well as some other awesome events!

What's going on everybody and welcome to yet another Central Alabama Weekend Update. We've got the best events from around the area, and they're all happening this weekend. Let's jump into it!

Eastchase Farmers Market

A new weekend means another farmers market out at Eastchase. Head out bright and early at 7:00 a.m. for your shot at the best produce from your local growers and farmers. The event will be happening until noon, but you don’t want to miss the most awesome deals that are sure to run out quick.

Juneteenth

Once you’re done grabbing all that good food down at the farmers market, get out to the Rosa Parks Museum in downtown Montgomery. From 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., celebrate the end of slavery in America. It’s the event’s third year running, and it’s totally free to attend. There’ll be vendors, performances, and free tours of the museum.

Auburn Food & Wine Festival

The first-ever Auburn Food & Wine Festival is happening this weekend. Taste and sip your way through the town’s culinary scene¬†and experience more than 150 wines from around the world. Plus, the event supports the Boys & Girl’s Clubs of Greater Lee County, so you’re doing good at the same time!¬†Show up between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 that evening.

The Temptations & The Four Tops

For our last event you’ll need to GET READY to head to CLOUD NINE because The Temptations coming to the Montgomery Performing Arts Center.
