MPAC to Show National Championship Game for Free, but Bring a Canned Good

The Alabama Crimson Tide will take on the Clemson Tigers on January 7, and while you can watch this National Championship from the comfort of your own home, why not take advantage of the Montgomery Performing Arts Center? They’re offering a huge opportunity for fans – read on to find out more.

If you didn’t know, the MPAC is one of Montgomery’s most stellar institutions.  They’ve got a massive auditorium with tons of seating and the potential for large-scale projection or screens. And the latter will see one of its best uses on Monday when the MPAC shows the National Championship. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. and doors open at 5:30 p.m.

The Montgomery Area Food Bank will be present at the event taking canned goods and donations. While you aren’t required to take part in the charity, every bit helps when we’re coming out of the holiday season. Plus, it feels good to give a little back, right?

The MPAC will be offering food specials, where you’ll be able to get a host of football-watching deliciousness:

  • Hot dogs
  • Chips
  • Soda
  • Turkey Legs
  • Sodas

And for those adults looking to partake, adult beverages will be available. You can also spend some time at The Exchange just outside the MPAC before the game. They’ve got food and drink specials for you to enjoy – consider this your unofficial “tailgating” opportunity…
