Ruby’s Bakery in Prattville Offers Espresso Brownies, Red Velvet Cupcakes

Ruby's Bakery has got espresso brownies - do you really need to know anything past that?

Ruby’s Bakery in Prattville is totally and completely unique. While you can get the general rigmarole of sugary goodness – cakes, cookies, and the like – you can also find some truly one-of-a-kind creations at the bakery.

Our favorite? The delectable espresso brownies – and that’s not just the caffeine talking!

But if you’re not looking to gorge yourself on caffeine-infused delicacies, you can also find other cool treats. Another awesome addition to the line-up comes in the form of red velvet cupcakes! While you’ve probably had red velvet cake before, these are a fun new way to enjoy the food.

And owner Mark Howell is a unique person, as well. To come up with all of this stellar food, you have to be! He’s named the bakery after his late mother, Ruby Jean, who passed away in 2016. The business is a living memorial to her, and Howell makes sure his confectioneries meet the bar that Ms. Jean would have expected.

The business itself continues the tradition of creativity and uniqueness. Fun, new-age art lines the walls and creates a comfortable atmosphere that customers can enjoy while eating. Though, Howell said that most take their food to-go and save it for home.

Ruby’s Bakery is truly one of Prattville’s hidden gems, and if you haven’t been, you need to try it. They are nestled in a shopping center just a few miles into town.

Here’s their address: 503 Greystone Way, Prattville Alabama
