The Air Force Academy Band is coming to Montgomery’s Riverfront

And we can't wait to go off into the 'blue yonder.'

Music, fun, and good food – saying “No!” would be treason! And with the folks we’ve got coming into town, you wouldn’t want to be found guilty… The Air Force Academy Band is coming to Montgomery’s Riverfront on April 12. Read on to find out more, or hear it from the horse’s mouth in our video up above!

The performance’s theme is “My Country ‘Tis of Thee,” so you can expect a number of classics to make an appearance. Think something along the lines of ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ or similar hits. But what you might not be expecting are some popular hits from the radio. We won’t talk about which ones just yet to keep the mystery alive, but rest assured: you’ll want to be there.

Festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. down at the Riverwalk Ampitheatre. And while you’ll have to pay up for any food or souvenirs you want to walk away with, admission to the concert is completely free. You’ve got to love the good folks down at the Riverfront for setting this one up!

The Air Force Academy Band is based out of Colorado Springs, CO and is currently touring across the United States. Montgomery is one of the many stops they’ll be making, but none are perhaps as unique.

Because they’re here to help celebrate our 200th anniversary! Montgomery – and by extension – Alabama are celebrating their bicentennials this year. So, you can come out on April 12 expecting a fantastic time.
