Here's how this wonderful drink is made.
The Cork & Cleaver is one of our favorite haunts here in Montgomery. We’ve been down there so many times, we’ve basically become family at this point. They’ve got lots of great lunch options, as well as a host of dinner choices you won’t want to miss. There’s a reason they’ve become so popular – they make you feel at home and the dishes are delicious.
But bite on this for a minute: their selection of drinks is just as stellar. That’s right: all that great food is matched only by what lies behind the bar… and boy, is there a lot of it. There’s wine and liquor galore, and generally speaking, a pretty awesome bartender there to help you make sense of it all. After all, with so many mixes and drink types available, it’s enough to make your head spin without imbibing at all!
That’s why we decided to go ahead and get with bartender Joseph Eddings to learn how the Strawberry-Basil Lemonade. It’s one of the restaurant’s most popular choices, and tastes wonderful. You’d hardly know there’s alcohol in this one – part of what makes it so dangerously good…
Here’s what’s inside:
- An ounce of lemon juice
- An ounce of Basil Simple
- An ounce-and-a-half of Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- Lemon garnish
