Maybe it’s Friday night and you’re not feeling like home is anywhere but your living room couch. We’ve all been there, and there’s nothing wrong with that. However, there’s a grumble in your tummy, and it’s getting louder and louder. You get up to check the fridge, and there’s nothing. You’re then left with a choice: stick around for another episode of whatever it is you’re watching on Netflix, or jump off the couch and hit the grocery store.
Well, with a new service from The Fresh Market and Instacart, you won’t have to decide.

While many of you are likely familiar with The Fresh Market, Instacart’s a little lesser-known. But what you should know is that they’re a “leader in online groceries and one of the fastest-growing companies in e-commerce.”
Of course, that’s from the press release, but I don’t doubt it! They’ve got partnerships with Albertons, ALDI, Costco, CVS, Kroger, Loblaw, Publix, Wegmans, Sam’s Club, and many more. Their infrastructure helps support these companies by providing e-commerce marketplaces and delivery.
While this will affect The Fresh Market nationwide, let’s talk about what it’ll look like for those of you in Central Alabama.
Here are the brass tacks:
- You’ll have access to same-day delivery in Montgomery.
- You can get an Instacart Express membership for $9.99 a month; alternatively, there’s an annual option for $99.
- Customers get unlimited delivery so long as they are a member, but for orders over $35, you’ll be charged an additional $3.99.
So, next time you’re in dire need of a Twinkie or some instant ramen, be sure to check out what’s happening with The Fresh Market and Instacart.
