The Montgomery Humane Society needs you to foster kittens

The Montgomery Humane Society is currently experiencing a large number of new arrivals, and they need your help to make sure that all of these animals find a permanent home. They’re asking Montgomery and the surrounding areas to foster kittens until they can make that happen.

Montgomery Humane Society Marketing and Development Director Lea Turbert told us on Wednesday that “Our kittens are high and puppies are starting to come in.”

“As always our adult dogs population is always full,” she continued.

Because their population of cats and dogs is so high right now, they’re hoping that they can give themselves some breathing room with a foster care program. There will be a class to help explain this program more thoroughly at the shelter on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

“We are looking for fosters for our kittens and will be having a class this Saturday at the shelter at 1:00 p.m.” she said.

So, even if you’re not able to take one of these furry friends home on a permanent basis, then maybe you can help out in the short-term.

But if you do decide to keep one of these animals, then be sure to take advantage of the Humane Society’s $50-off kitten adoptions promotion that began last week. You can read more about that here.
