A good farmers market is a cathartic experience. There’s nothing like getting out and supporting local businesses, enjoying good food, and learning more about the community in which you live. And if you’re living in Montgomery, then get this: you’re going to have an opportunity to attend one of Alabama’s biggest farmers markets in May!
The Shoppes at EastChase Farmers Market will be returning on May 11, and you’re invited. It will be the event’s 15th year running, and the grand opening will run from 7:00 a.m. to noon. You’ll find it easily by heading to the parking lot located next to Dillard’s.
Some of the attendees include:
- Aplin Farms
- Penton Farms
- M & M Farms
- More than 40 vendors featuring “homemade breads, jams, baked goods, Wagyu Beef, local honey, and more
In addition to these folks, you’ll find live music from The Blackbird Pickers, kid’s activities, yoga on the green, and cooking demos from the Capital City Club.
“Our Farmers Market has become a Saturday tradition for families,” said The Shoppes at EastChase Marketing Manager Suzanna Wasserman, Marketing Manager. “We love the opportunity to connect Alabama farmers and makers with the Montgomery community.”
While the grand opening will likely be the most important day of the farmers market, you’ll have ample time to check it out if you’re not available this weekend. It’ll be set up every Saturday from 7:00 a.m. until noon until September 28. So, think of it as the perfect summer opportunity!
