Labor Day's over, and summer's starting to reach its end - but the fun is just beginning. Here are some fun things to do in Montgomery that you and the family can do this weekend.
Red Tails Air Show
The Red Tails will be flying over Montgomery in an air show featuring the F-22 Raptor Demo Team. There is parking available at several off-site locations, with transportation to the base. The event is free, and with aerial demonstrations beginning around 11:30 am, you can be sure this will be a good time.

Park and Bark Benefit Car Show
Join the Prattville community in supporting their search and rescue K-9 unit on Saturday. They are hosting the “Park and Bark” Car Show, where you can compete with others for the snazziest ride in Central Alabama. You can watch the event for free or put a car into the competition for just $15.
The Black Jacket Symphony
The Black Jacket Symphony is a cover band that plays hits from your favorite artists. Some of these include The Beatles, Guns N’ Roses, and The Eagles. However, they’ll be performing AC/DC for those of us attending the Montgomery Performing Arts Center on Friday. Tickets are going fast, so don’t miss out!
The Montgomery Zoo’s “Dino Dig” is always a hit with kids. For that reason, it usually finds its way onto our list. Bring your little ones out at 10:00 am on Saturday to uncover buried fossils and explore the rest of the zoo. The zoo’s always coming up with cool, fun events for the family, and the Dino Dig is just the latest in this series.
But that wraps things up for this week! Join us on social media so you never miss a a beat from us. Until next time, though, this has been Central Alabama Weekend! Come back next time for more great things to do in Montgomery.
