Things are starting to cool down around Central Alabama, and we couldn't be happier. Here are some great events that you can enjoy this weekend in the beautiful fall weather we've been waiting for.

Alabama Safari Park Fall Festival

Alabama Safari Park has been open since March of this year – if you haven’t checked them out, do it soon! They’re having a fall festival through the end of October, where all activities are included with the price of admission.

Great Grits Cookoff and Festival

The annual Great Grits Cookoff will take place on Saturday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Prattville YMCA. Have all the grits you can eat for $2.00, and support the YMCA’s Coach a Child initiative. Cheap eats and good times – how do you beat that?

Gump City Con 2018

Comic books, video games, cosplay and more will take center stage at Gump City Con on Saturday and Sunday. Kids 6 and under get in for free, and adults pay $30.00. There are a ton of panels, guests, and parties planned, so don’t miss this one.

Riverwalk Wine Festival

The ninth annual Riverwalk Wine Festival is happening from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Saturday. Enjoy a fun time at Montgomery’s Riverwalk, and take a cruise on the Harriot II riverboat. And while it goes without saying, you’ve got to be 21 or older to enter.
