Here's what you can do in Central Alabama over the next few days!
It's that time of the week again, so you know what that means! It's time for your Central Alabama Weekend Update. Here are some great events that you can check out over the next few days.
River Jam Music Festival
The River Bend Brew Fest is taking over the Riverfront’s Union Station from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 Friday night. Come out and try these tasty brews from international and local vendors for just a $25 entry fee. There will also be food for those of you who get a little hungry in between tastings. Non-drinkers get to attend at no charge!
Mayor's Bike Ride and Touch-a-Truck
After all that fun down at the Riverfront, let’s switch gears and check out Prattville’s Touch-a-Truck. Kids and adults alike can come check out all sorts of trucks and other cool vehicles. Maybe you can even hop in a firetruck or see what the Sheriff’s Department is bringing to the event! Plus, there’s the Mayor’s Bike Ride, which is always a good time.
River Jam Musical Festival
So, maybe you just didn’t get enough of the Riverfront on Friday night. Well, you’re in luck because the seventh annual River Jam Music Festival is coming to Riverfront Park in downtown Montgomery. Tickets for this Saturday night event are general admission, and will run you $20 per person. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the concert begins at 6:00, where artists take the Riverwalk Ampitheatre stage until 9:00.
Zoofari Family Cruise
The first-ever Zoofari Family Cruise is our last event for the weekend, and like so many of the items on our list, you’ll find it down at the Riverfront. On Sunday at 3:30 p.m. you’ll find the Montgomery Zoo on board the Harriott II Riverboat, where they’ll have a bunch of friendly animals for you to learn about. So get out there and support a new event!
And that will wrap things up for now, but the fun doesn't stop there! If you want more join us on social media, where you'll find our most recent, daily content. But until next time, this has been Central Alabama Weekend!
