Georges’ River Market and Butchery is officially open

Georges' is finally open in Wetumpka!

Wetumpka has played host to a number of new spaces in the past year or so, including the likes of JoJo’s Mini Golf and The Coosa Cleaver. Well, it’s gaining yet another community member in the form of Georges’ River Market & Butchery! The space opened earlier this year to rave review, but they’re officially opening up their doors this weekend.

The business had a formal ribbon cutting on Friday, but the festivities really get down and rocking on Saturday. You can come out to enjoy music, food samples, door prizes, hourly giveaways, and more. They’ll be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. that afternoon, and get this – the first 25 people to show up will get a free gift card to the shop. So, you’ll probably want to be there bright and early!

If you want the schedule breakdown, here’s how everything is set to play out (taken from Facebook):

Georges’ has a ton of great products you can check out. All their offerings are locally sourced from people in and around the Wetumpka community. For instance, they’ve got jams from Auburn that are made with habaneros and ghost peppers. If that doesn’t get you taste buds tingling, we don’t know what will.

If you want to visit Georges’ River Market then check them out at this address: 201 Spring Street, Wetumpka, AL 36092

We’ll see you out in Wetumpka tomorrow morning!
