The lifelong legacy of graduating from Alabama State University

Alabama State University is one of Montgomery’s premiere institutions of higher learning. We had the opportunity to stop by their campus recently to speak with Dr. Quinton Ross and some other alumni who attested to the university’s efficacy in getting their students ready for the real world.

Founded in 1867, Alabama State University engages students, helping them find their purpose. With more than 5,000 people attending the school on a yearly basis, it’s become one of the most well-respected in Alabama. The historically black university offers an array of majors, sports, and activities for students to engage in. Their marching band is recognized at a national level for their expertise.

ASU has also produced persons of note, including rapper 2 Chainz and Lil Yachty. Current ASU President Quinton T. Ross is also a graduate, and served as a member of the Alabama Senate; he represented the 26th District.
