The annual WSFA Summer Fund and Food Drive is taking place at Renfroe’s Market in
downtown Montgomery on Friday. All you’ve got to do is bring some food to the event.
And you should know that every dollar given to the food bank is translated into six-and-a-half pounds of food. With the summer months in high gear, there’s never been a better time to get involved.
Art Walk in the Alley
Hosted by 21 Dreams: Art and Culture, Art Walk in the Alley is taking over downtown Montgomery on Saturday. Attendees of the three-hour event The event is free and open to the public. And since you’re in the heart of downtown, once the event’s over, you can grab some good food with your new friends.
Montgomery's Largest Yard Sale
iHeartMedia is hosting Montgomery’s Largest Yard Sale on Saturday. There will be more than 75 vendors at the event, which is totally free to attend. However, you can get in thirty minutes early with their early-bird special. These particular tickets cost just $10, and you might snag a deal before anyone else!
Juneteenth Celebration at The Rosa Parks Museum
If you haven’t been to the Rosa Parks Museum or just want to visit again, the Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday is great opportunity. Free tours of the museum, activities for children, and live performances will all be a part of the festivities. It’s only the event’s second year running, so show your support for this great organization.
Flavor Flav at Montgomery Biscuits
While the Montgomery Biscuits are always a good choice, this weekend they’ve got someone
special visiting the stadium: Public Enemy’s Flavor Flav. He’ll be signing autographs and meeting fans inside Riverwalk Stadium’s new “Club Car Bar.” So get your best and longest “Yeah, boy!” ready.
Montgomery Pride March and Rally
The 2018 Montgomery Pride March and Rally will depart from Club 322 at 11:00 am for the capitol’s steps. Multiple speakers and events are planned once the group arrives, and will persist until around 2:00. Organizers ask attendees to bring their flags, signs and pride to the event.
