When you’re talking about good Cajun food, there’s hardly a better spot in Montgomery than Wishbone Cafe. It’s the go-to restaurant for anyone looking to enter an immediate food coma – food portions are hefty and seasoned in a way that’s absolutely divine. Some news came across our veritable desks this morning that we think you need to know… Apparently, Wishbone Cafe is moving to the building that formerly housed Eastside Grille.

An employee working at Wishbone Cafe Thursday afternoon confirmed this news to Central Alabama Weekend, but that’s not all! An image was posted to the popular “Lunch in the Gump” Facebook group by member Adam Holley that indicates when we might see the move take place. Apparently, Wishbone Cafe plans to do more than just move – they’re in the market for a liquor license!

So, maybe we’ll be able to enjoy a drink or two alongside our meals down at Wishbone Cafe real soon – and in a newer, bigger location! One thing’s for sure, though: the move won’t be happening until sometime after April 16. On the notice, it says that the restaurant has a hearing to establish whether they’re fit to serve liquor. The date was apparently written incorrectly, as the “(YEAR)” section lists 2009. Nevertheless, we have no doubt Wishbone Cafe will pass the test with flying colors!

You can currently visit the business at 7028 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36117. When it moves to its new location, you’ll instead be heading to 6667 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36117.
