The Montgomery Zoo is one of our favorite spots around Central Alabama. It’s the second-largest zoo in Alabama, and it’s growing each and every year with new exhibits and attractions. In fact, Stingray Bay – their latest, big addition – came in just last year and it’s been a huge hit. Read more about that past this link! While we’ve been inundated with good and fun news from the Montgomery Zoo, today is a more solemn occasion: Zoo Weekend is being pushed back a couple weeks!
“Why,” you might ask? Well, apparently we’ve got some bad weather headed our way this weekend; that’s in line with all of the dark, dreary, rainy days we’ve had the past week or so. And it’s true: I don’t think anyone wants to hit the zoo while it’s pouring rain. So, if you were setting up a weekend of fun down at the zoo, it’s time to start adjusting those plans.
If you’re not familiar with Zoo Weekend, it’s essentially a celebration of our local zoo. There’ll be live entertainment, games, rides, bouncy houses, pony rides, karate demos, a K-9 presentation, concessions, and more. It’s honestly one of the most fun events you can enjoy here in the Capital of Dreams, and we want to make sure you’re there!
The revised dates for Zoo Weekend are March 23 to March 24.
